If you're that offended by what's on television, just do what I did years ago.

I gave away all my televisions back in 2005.

When people complain about all the nonsense on television, I don't even know what they're talking about.

I guess that qualifies me to be one of those fake journalists that I sometimes used to see on Fox News, when I still had TVs.

They didn't know what they were talking about, either.

Can't tell you how much I agree with your thoughts. I recently looked up a long lost friend on FB and read some of the filthy things she'd posted and realized she was no longer a person I'd care to know.

Brilliant! I loved your rant! Thanks so much, Sue, for expressing your weariness and disgust concerning the sexualization of everything. Your post did so much to help coalesce my thoughts and feelings.

My favorite sentence is: "My favorite television shows are ruined by characters who have sex with someone they’ve just met, or move in with someone they’ve just met, or give away everything that is decent and intimate about themselves to someone they barely know, as though there is nothing unusual about this."

I wish my TJ Maxx would do the same thing! The one by me is horrible. Customer service doesn't exist, it's messy and dirty and the selection is not great. I love the deals you can get there, but don't shop there often because it isn't as nice as other stores.

Not to mention that it's not "news" to me if someone is constantly giving their opinion. I switched to NPR because they seem to be least interested in shouting and throwing their opinion in the ring. I don't really care what Cooper or Beck think. I just want the facts.

Of course she doesn't make God concrete. Happy go lucky New Age stuff sells better than anything specific. It also scares me that so many of my friends feel the same way you do. It's crazy! How can we feel undeserving of something because of our weight? I know most men don't feel that way.

Nice. My wife loves Top Model as well. I must admit, it's addictive. I'm not sure I agree with you totally, though. I do not think children would act like little monsters if their parents weren't showing them that screaming and hitting were acceptable. Look at chimps. They don't scream and hit all the time.

Sue, I agree with you. It goes along with the herd mentality that keeps people sick, broke and stupid. I'm all for free speech and free expression. The good news about those shirts is that it makes it easy to know who to avoid. For me as a CEO, it sure helps with the hiring process.
